Intraoral Camera
Rather than examining your mouth and just telling you what we see, we can actually show you thanks to our intraoral camera. This small, handheld device fits comfortably into the mouth, and we use it to capture highly-detailed images of the teeth and gums. Displaying them on a nearby monitor, this makes it easy for us to spot any potential issues, plus we can go over your images with you so you know exactly what’s going on with your oral health.
Digital X-Rays
Taking X-rays is an essential part of our treatment process here at Carefree Dentistry, as this allows us to see the areas of your teeth hidden below the gum line as well as the underlying bone. With all digital X-rays, we can capture images that show much more detail compared to film, plus they take just seconds to develop, helping you save time at every appointment. These X-rays are safer as well, as they emit 90% LESS radiation compared to traditional ones, which is great news for both our patients and team!
Soft Tissue Laser Dentistry
In the past, treating a patient for gum disease often involved a minor surgery, and this meant making incisions and placing sutures in sensitive oral tissue. Thankfully, our diode laser now enables us to eliminate harmful bacteria and remove excess gum tissue as quickly and painlessly as possible. The concentrated light energy of our laser sanitizes and cauterizes an area as it works, which reduces bleeding, swelling, and post-treatment discomfort to practically zero. In fact, it’s so gentle that most patients don’t even need local anesthetic.
